About the JSON to OpenAPI
Bootstrap an OpenAPI 3.1 specification from a sample JSON response. The tool infers a component schema from your data, then wires it into a path and operation with a response — and a request body for POST, PUT and PATCH.
Output is YAML or JSON, ready for Swagger UI, Redoc, Stoplight or code generators. Refine it with descriptions, parameters and error responses afterwards.
How to use it
- Paste a sample response body.
- Set the path and HTTP method.
- Copy the spec or download it as YAML.
Features
- OpenAPI 3.1 output
- Reusable component schema
- Request body for write methods
- YAML or JSON
Frequently asked questions
OpenAPI or Swagger — what's the difference?
Swagger 2.0 was renamed OpenAPI 3.0 in 2017. "Swagger" now usually refers to the tooling (Swagger UI, Swagger Editor) that reads OpenAPI documents.
Are path parameters added?
The path is used as given. Add a parameters section for {id}-style segments after generating.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. All processing happens in JavaScript inside your browser tab. Your input is never sent to a server, logged or stored, so it is safe to use with internal or sensitive data.
